The “Knights of the Highway”

Older generations may remember when car trouble on the highway meant that the sight of an approaching truck brought relief. Truck drivers were once known as the “Knights of the Highway.”

Sorry, folks, but that is no longer always true. Some drivers still wear shining armor. Others do not, and neither do some irresponsible trucking companies.

The Texas Attorney General’s Office and the U.S. Department of Transportation have announced efforts to remove unsafe companies and drivers from our highways. We applaud those efforts, but the job is not finished. Announcements are one thing; results are another. Motorists remain at risk.

If you are involved in a truck crash, call for legal help as soon as possible. You cannot know where the driver may go or how quickly critical evidence may disappear.
